33 Should He repay you because you have refused? For you choose, and not I, therefore speak what you know.

If there are words, answer me; speak, for I desire to declare you right.

Let men of heart say to me, and a wise man who listens to me:


Who has given to Me first, that I should repay him – under all the heavens that is Mine?


Look, He snatches away, who brings it back? Who says to Him, ‘What are You doing?’


יהוה has done whatever pleased Him, In the heavens and in earth, In the seas and in all the depths,


“You have done this, and I kept silent; You have thought that I was altogether like you – I rebuke you, and set it in order before your eyes.


See, the righteous in the earth shall be rewarded, How much more the wrong and the sinner!


“Woe to him who strives with his Maker! (a potsherd with the potsherds of the earth). Does clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ Or your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands’?


“And it shall be, when they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, ‘Thus said יהוה of hosts, “You shall drink!


“Or who first gave to Him, and it shall be given back to him?”


But who are you, O man, to talk back to Elohim? Shall that which is formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”


deeming the reproach of Messiah greater riches than the treasures in Mitsrayim, for he was looking to the reward.


For if the word spoken through messengers proved to be firm, and every transgression and disobedience received a right reward,
