2 And the wrath of Elihu, son of Baraḵ’ĕl the Buzite, of the clan of Ram, burned against Iyoḇ. His wrath burned because he declared himself right rather than Elohim.

Is it good to You that You should crush, that You should despise the work of Your hands, and shine on the counsel of the wrong?


For your crookedness teaches your mouth what to say, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.


Is not your evil great? And is there no end to your crookednesses?


“As Ěl lives, who has turned aside my right-ruling, and the Almighty, who has made my life bitter,


Far be it from me that I grant that you are right. Until I die I would not turn aside my integrity from me.


My righteousness I hold fast, and I do not let it go. My heart does not reproach me as long as I live.


You have become cruel to me; with the power of Your hand You oppose me.


And against his three friends his wrath burned, because they had found no answer, and pronounced Elohim wrong.


But you have spoken in my hearing, and the sound of words I hear, saying,


“Do you think this is right? Do you say, ‘My righteousness is more than that of Ěl’?


Would you also set aside My judgment? Would you pronounce Me wrong, and you be declared righteous?


Because ardour for Your house has eaten me up, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.


And having looked around on them with displeasure, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.


But he, wishing to declare himself righteous, said to יהושע, “And who is my neighbour?”


“Be wroth, but do not sin.” Do not let the sun go down on your rage,
