³ Would he reason with useless talk, or by speeches with which do not profit?

³ You rebuke with words he who is not equal to you, and you speak what is not expedient for you,

³ Thou reprovest him by words, who is not equal to thee: and thou speakest that which is not good for thee.

“Would a wise man answer with vain knowledge, or fill his belly with the east wind?

Indeed, you do away with reverence, and withhold prayer before Ěl.

Let your word always be with favour, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you ought to answer each one.
