Hebrews 2:9 - The Scriptures 2009

9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the messengers, יהושע, because of the suffering of death crowned with esteem and respect, that by the favour of Elohim He should taste death for everyone.

So why do you worry about clothing? Note well the lilies of the field, how they grow. They neither toil nor spin,


And He said to them, “Truly, I say to you that there are some standing here who shall not taste of death at all until they see the reign of Elohim having come in power:"


“But truly I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death at all till they see the reign of Elohim:"


On the next day Yoḥanan saw יהושע coming toward him, and said, “See, the Lamb of Elohim who takes away the sin of the world!


“Because of this the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, in order to receive it again.


And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, shall draw all men unto Myself.”


“For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.


“Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone guards My Word he shall never see death at all.”


The Yehuḏim said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Aḇraham died, and the prophets. And You say, ‘If anyone guards My Word he shall never taste death at all.’


“Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of Elohim, and having received from the Father the promise of the Set-apart Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.


“The Elohim of Aḇraham, and of Yitsḥaq, and of Ya‛aqoḇ, the Elohim of our fathers, esteemed His Servant יהושע, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.


So then, as through one trespass there resulted condemnation to all men, so also through one righteous act there resulted righteous-declaring of life to all men.


But Elohim proves His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Messiah died for us.


For the Torah being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, Elohim, having sent His own Son in the likeness of flesh of sin, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,


Truly, He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up on behalf of us all – how shall He not, along with Him, freely give us all else?


and He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them, and was raised.


For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of Elohim.


But when the completion of the time came, Elohim sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under Torah,


who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be witnessed in its own seasons,


“You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. Because of this, Elohim, Your Elohim, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”


Therefore, coming into the world, He says, “Slaughtering and meal offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.


By belief, Ḥanoḵ was translated so as not to see death, “and was not found because Elohim had translated him.” For before his translation he obtained witness, that he pleased Elohim.


looking to the Prince and Perfecter of our belief, יהושע, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the stake, having despised the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of Elohim.


“You have made him a little lower than Elohim. You have crowned him with esteem and respect, and set him over the works of Your hands.


Therefore He is also able to save completely those who draw near to Elohim through Him, ever living to make intercession for them.


For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and slaughters. So it was also necessary for this One to have somewhat to offer.


who through Him believe in Elohim who raised Him from the dead and gave Him esteem, so that your belief and expectation are in Elohim.


And He Himself is an atoning offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world.


And His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, having a Name that had been written, which no one had perceived except Himself –


And they sang a renewed song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and have redeemed us to Elohim by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
