33 And when Ya‛aqoḇ ended commanding his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed and breathed his last, and was gathered to his people.

So Yitsḥaq breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people, aged and satisfied of days. And his sons Ěsaw and Ya‛aqoḇ buried him.


And Ya‛aqoḇ called his sons and said, “Gather together, so that I declare to you what is to befall you in the last days:


And he commanded them, and said to them, “I am to be gathered to my people, bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Ḥittite,


the field purchased, and the cave which is in it, from the sons of Ḥĕth.”


And Yosĕph fell on his father’s face, and wept over him, and kissed him.


And Elisha had become sick with the sickness in which he died. And Yo’ash the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl came down to him, and wept over his face, and said, “O my father, my father, the chariots of Yisra’ĕl and their horsemen!”


And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the raiding bands from Mo’aḇ came into the land in the spring of the year.


But man dies and is powerless, and man expires, and where is he?


For I have known that You bring me to death, and to the house of appointment for all living.


You shall come to the burial-site in ripe old age, like the stacking of grain in its season.


and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to Elohim who gave it.


“Now let Your servant go in peace, O Master, according to Your word,


“And Ya‛aqoḇ went down to Mitsrayim, and died, he and our fathers,


By belief, Yosĕph, when he was dying, made mention of the outgoing of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and gave orders concerning his bones.


to the entire gathering and assembly of the first-born having been enrolled in heaven, and to Elohim the Judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect,
