29 And it came to be, as he drew back his hand, that see, his brother came out! And she said, “How did you break through? This breach be upon you!” So his name was called Perets.

And the sons of Yehuḏah: Ěr, and Onan, and Shĕlah, and Perets, and Zeraḥ – but Ěr and Onan died in the land of Kena‛an. And the sons of Perets were Ḥetsron and Ḥamul.


And Tamar, his daughter-in-law, bore him Perets and Zeraḥ. All the sons of Yehuḏah were five.


Uthai son of Ammihuḏ, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, of the sons of Perets, the son of Yehuḏah.

All the sons of Perets who dwelt at Yerushalayim were four hundred and sixty-eight brave men.

And Yehuḏah brought forth Perets and Zeraḥ by Tamar, and Perets brought forth Ḥetsron, and Ḥetsron brought forth Ram.
