And he looked and saw a well in the field, and saw three flocks of sheep lying by it, for out of that well they watered the flocks, and a large stone was on the well’s mouth.


And Pharaoh heard of this matter, and he sought to kill Mosheh. But Mosheh fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Miḏyan. And he sat down by a well.


And the priest of Miḏyan had seven daughters. And they came and drew water, and they filled the troughs to water their father’s flock,


The righteous regards the life of his beast, But the compassion of the wrong is cruelty.


A woman of Shomeron came to draw water. יהושע said to her, “Give Me to drink.”


“By the voice of shouters, between the places of drawing water, there they recount the righteous acts of יהוה, the righteous acts of His leadership in Yisra’ĕl; then the people of יהוה shall go down to the gates.


As they went up the hill to the city, they met some young women going out to draw water, and said to them, “Is the seer here?”
