21 And He said to him, “Look, I have favoured you concerning this matter also, without overthrowing this city for which you have spoken.

“And I shall make you a great nation, and bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing!


“Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city, would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it?


“Look, please, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is small. Please let me escape there – is it not a small matter – and let my life be saved?”


Hurry, escape there. For I am not able to do any deed until you arrive there. So the name of the city was called Tso‛ar.


Is it not if you do good, you are to be accepted? And if you do not do good, towards the door is a sin. He is lying and towards you is his desire, and you must rule over him.”


He shall turn unto the prayer of the destitute, And He shall not despise their prayer.


He does the desire of those who fear Him; And He hears their cry and saves them.


Ayin The eyes of יהוה are on the righteous, And His ears unto their cry.


And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Even this word you have spoken I shall do, for you have found favour in My eyes, and I know you by name.”


Thus said יהוה to this people, “So they have loved to wander, they have not restrained their feet. Therefore יהוה has not accepted them. Now He does remember their crookedness and punish their sins.”


“A crushed reed He shall not break, and smoking flax He shall not quench, till He brings forth right-ruling forever.


“I say to you, if he does not get up and give to him because he is his friend, he shall get up and give him as many as he needs because of his persistence.


So in every way He had to be made like His brothers, in order to become a compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in matters related to Elohim, to make atonement for the sins of the people.


And Dawiḏ received from her hand what she had brought him, and said to her, “Go up in peace to your house. See, I have listened to your voice and have accepted your face.”
