Ezekiel 33:21 - The Scriptures 2009

21 And it came to be in the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month, on the fifth of the new moon, that one who had escaped from Yerushalayim came to me and said, “The city has been stricken!”

And all the army of the Kasdim who were with the chief of the guard broke down the walls of Yerushalayim all around.


Then the city wall was breached, and all the men of battle fled at night by way of the gate between two walls, which was by the sovereign’s garden, even though the Kasdim were still encamped all around against the city. And the sovereign went by way of the desert plain.


The word that came to Yirmeyahu from יהוה after Neḇuzaraḏan, chief of the guard, had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him bound in chains among all the exiles from Yerushalayim and Yehuḏah, who were being exiled to Baḇel.


On the fifth of the new moon, in the fifth year of Sovereign Yehoyaḵin’s exile,


And in the ninth year, in the tenth new moon, on the tenth of the new moon, the word of יהוה came to me, saying,


“Son of man, write down the name of the day, for on this same day the sovereign of Baḇel has thrown himself against Yerushalayim.


And it came to be in the eleventh year, in the third month, on the first of the new moon, that the word of יהוה came to me, saying,


And it came to be in the twelfth year, in the twelfth new moon, on the first of the new moon, that the word of יהוה came to me, saying,

In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at Rosh haShanah, on the tenth of the new moon, in the fourteenth year after the city was stricken, on that same day the hand of יהוה came upon me and He brought me there.
