And they shall take up a lamentation for you, and say to you, “How you have perished, O one inhabited by seafaring men, the city well-praised, who was strong at sea, she and her inhabitants, who put their fear on all her inhabitants!


“And in their wailing for you they shall take up a lamentation. And they shall lament for you, ‘Who is cut off in the midst of the sea like Tsor?


And the word of יהוה came to me, saying,


“You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.


This is the lamentation, and they shall lament her, the daughters of the nations lament her. Over Mitsrayim and over all her crowd they shall lament her,’ declares the Master יהוה.”


“Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh sovereign of Mitsrayim, and you shall say to him, ‘You were like a young lion among the nations, and you are like a monster in the seas, and you burst forth in your rivers, and trouble the waters with your feet, and muddy their rivers.’


“Son of man, explain the House to the house of Yisra’ĕl, and when they are ashamed of their crookednesses, they shall measure the measurements.


and Ḥamath also borders on it, Tsor and Tsiḏon, though they are very wise.


And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom. And the favour of Elohim was upon Him.


“Therefore, brothers, seek out from among you seven men who are known to be filled with the Set-apart Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint for this duty,


Having completed this, then, and having put my seal on this fruit of theirs, I shall return through you to Spain.


For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with Elohim. For it has been written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”


who also sealed us, and gave the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.


That is also why we, from the day we heard, have not ceased praying for you, and asking that you be filled with the knowledge of His desire in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,


in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
