And he went about among the lions, and became a young lion. And he learned to tear the prey, he devoured men.


Then nations set against him from the provinces on every side, and spread their net over him, he was caught in their pit.


“There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst, like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured life, they have taken wealth and precious matters, they have made many widows in her midst.


“And I shall make the rivers dry, and I shall sell the land into the hand of evil ones. And I shall lay the land waste, and all that is in it, by the hand of foreigners. I, יהוה, have spoken.”


“You have not strengthened the weak, nor have you healed the sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back the straying, nor sought what was lost; but you have ruled them with might and harshness.


“Of the land this is his possession in Yisra’ĕl, and My princes shall no longer oppress My people. And they shall give the land to the house of Yisra’ĕl, according to their tribes.”


The Master יהוה has sworn by Himself, יהוה Elohim of hosts declares, “I am loathing the pride of Ya‛aqoḇ, and I have hated his palaces. Therefore I shall deliver up the city and all that is in it.”


Hear, all you peoples! Listen, O earth, and all who are in it! And let the Master יהוה be a witness against you – יהוה from His set-apart Hĕḵal.
