9 When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aharon, ‘Take your rod and throw it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’

And Mosheh stretched out his rod over the land of Mitsrayim, and יהוה brought an east wind on the land all that day and all that night. Morning came, and the east wind brought the locusts.


And take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.


And יהוה said to him, “What is that in your hand?” And he said, “A rod.”


So Mosheh took his wife and his sons and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Mitsrayim. And Mosheh took the rod of Elohim in his hand.


And He said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent. And Mosheh fled from it.


And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying,


Then Mosheh stretched out his rod toward the heavens. And יהוה sent thunder and hail, and fire came down to the earth. And יהוה rained hail on the land of Mitsrayim.


“Ask a sign for yourself from יהוה your Elohim; make deep the request or make it high.”


“Speak, and you shall say, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “See, I am against you, O Pharaoh sovereign of Mitsrayim, O great monster who lies in the midst of his rivers, who has said, ‘My River is my own, and I, I have made it for myself.’


But He answering, said to them, “A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Yonah.


but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”


And the Yehuḏim answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You are doing these?”


So they said to Him, “What sign then would You do, so that we see and believe You? What would You do?
