And יהוה was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.


For they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of Mitsrayim, out of the iron furnace.


“Please, let the leaders of all the assembly stand. And let all those in our cities who have taken foreign women come at appointed times, together with the elders and judges of their cities, until the burning wrath of our Elohim is turned away from us in this matter.”


And remember His covenant for their sake, And relent according to the greatness of His loving-commitment.


Remember this: the enemy has reproached יהוה, And a foolish people has despised Your Name.


But He, the Compassionate One, Pardoned crookedness, And did not destroy them. And many a time He turned His displeasure away, And did not stir up all His wrath.


You shall withdraw all Your wrath; You shall turn from Your fierce displeasure.


Return, O יהוה! How long? And be sorry for Your servants.


And יהוה relented from the evil which He said He would do to His people.


And now, please, if I have found favour in Your eyes, please show me Your way, and let me know You, so that I find favour in Your eyes. And consider that this nation is Your people.


And there is no one who calls on Your Name, who stirs himself up to be strengthened in You; for You have hidden Your face from us, and have consumed us because of our crookednesses.


And now, O יהוה, You are our Father. We are the clay, and You our potter. And we are all the work of Your hand.


“Therefore thus said יהוה, ‘See, I am sending you away from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, for you have spoken apostasy against יהוה.’ ”


“But I acted for My Name’s sake, not to profane it before the nations, before whose eyes I had brought them out.


“But I held back My hand and acted for My Name’s sake, not to profane it before the eyes of the nations, before whose eyes I had brought them out.


“But I acted for My Name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the eyes of the nations among whom they were – before whose eyes I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim.


Let the priests, servants of יהוה, weep between the porch and the slaughter-place. And let them say, “Spare Your people, O יהוה, and do not give Your inheritance to reproach, for the nations to rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their Elohim?’ ”


יהוה relented concerning this. “It shall not be,” said יהוה.

“Who knows whether Elohim does turn and relent, and shall turn away from the heat of His displeasure, so that we do not perish?”


“For thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘As I purposed to do evil to you when your fathers provoked Me,’ declares יהוה of hosts, ‘and I did not relent,


Please forgive the crookedness of this people, according to the greatness of Your loving-commitment, as You have forgiven this people, from Mitsrayim even until now.


Separate yourselves from the midst of this congregation, and let Me consume them in a moment.


And none of that which is put under the ban is to cling to your hand, so that יהוה turns from the fierceness of His displeasure and shall show you compassion, love you and increase you, as He swore to your fathers,”


“For יהוה rightly rules His people And has compassion on His servants, When He sees that their power is gone, And there is no one remaining, Shut up or at large.


“lest the land from which You brought us should say, Because יהוה was not able to bring them to the land which He promised them, and because He hated them, He has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.”


And they raised over him a great heap of stones, which remains to this day. Then יהוה turned from the fierceness of His displeasure. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Aḵor to this day.


and the Kena‛anites and all the inhabitants of the land hear, and shall surround us, and cut off our name from the earth. What then do You do for Your great Name?”


“For יהוה would not cast away His people, for His great Name’s sake, seeing it has pleased יהוה to make you His people.
