27 the Yehuḏim established and imposed it upon themselves and upon their seed and all who should join them, that without fail they should perform these two days every year, according to their writing and at their appointed time,

And in every province and in every city where the sovereign’s command and decree came, the Yehuḏim had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land were becoming Yehuḏim, for the fear of the Yehuḏim had fallen upon them.


And Mordeḵai wrote these matters and sent letters to all the Yehuḏim who were in all the provinces of Sovereign Aḥashwĕrosh, both near and far,


to establish among them, to perform the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the new moon of Aḏar, yearly,


and that these days should be remembered and performed throughout every generation, every clan, every province, and every city, and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Yehuḏim, and that the remembrance of them should not cease from their seed.


And place their trust in Elohim, And not forget the works of Ěl, But watch over His commands,


And many peoples shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה, to the House of the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ, and let Him teach us His ways, and let us walk in His paths, for out of Tsiyon comes forth the Torah, and the Word of יהוה from Yerushalayim.”


“And let not the son of the foreigner who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ ”


“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto My covenant –


“And you shall remember your ways and be ashamed, when you receive your older and your younger sisters. And I shall give them to you for daughters, though not by your own covenant.


“And many nations shall be joined to יהוה in that day, and they shall become My people. And I shall dwell in your midst. And you shall know that יהוה of hosts has sent Me to you.


“Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all languages of the nations take hold, yes, they shall take hold of the edge of the garment of a man, a Yehuḏi, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that Elohim is with you.” ’ ”


One law is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you – a law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה.


“יהוה did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive.


And Yehoshua made peace with them, and made a covenant with them to let them live, and the rulers of the congregation swore to them.


that the daughters of Yisra’ĕl went every year for four days to lament the daughter of Yiphtaḥ the Gil‛aḏite.


And it came to be, from that day forward, he appointed it for a law and a right-ruling for Yisra’ĕl to this day.
