Ecclesiastes 2:26 - The Scriptures 2009

26 For He gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His eyes. But to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and collecting, to give to him who is good before Elohim. That too is futile and feeding on wind.

And יהוה said to Noaḥ, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.


But truly it is the spirit in man and the breath of the Almighty that gives him understanding.


Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who has given understanding to the heart?


As but a shadow each one walks; They busy themselves, only in vain; He heaps up wealth, But knows not who gathers them.


See, You have desired truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You make me know wisdom.


A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.


For יהוה gives wisdom; Out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding.


He who increases his possessions by interest and profit Gathers it for him who shows favour to the poor.


And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that has been done under the heavens; this evil task Elohim has given to the sons of man, to be humbled by it.


I have seen all the works that are done under the sun. And see, all was futile and feeding on wind.


For who eats or who finds enjoyment without Him?


I have seen the task Elohim has given to the sons of men to be humbled by it.


And they were both righteous before Elohim, blamelessly walking in all the commands and righteousnesses of יהוה.


“Until now you have asked naught in My Name. Ask, and you shall receive, in order that your joy might be complete.


But the wisdom from above is first clean, then peaceable, gentle, ready to obey, filled with compassion and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
