There is no remembrance of former ones, nor is there any remembrance of those that are to come by those who come later on.


What has been is what shall be, what has been done is what shall be done, and there is no new matter under the sun.


And I turned myself to look at wisdom, and madness, and folly. For what would the man do who comes after the sovereign except what already has been done?


Whatever shall be, has already been named, and it is known that he is son of Aḏam. And he is unable to contend with Him who is mightier than he.


Rejoice and be glad, because your reward in the heavens is great. For in this way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
