2 and he said to them, “I am one hundred and twenty years old today. I am no longer able to go out and come in. And יהוה has said to me, ‘You do not pass over this Yardĕn.’

But Aḇishai son of Tseruyah came to help him, and struck the Philistine and killed him. Then Dawiḏ’s men swore to him, saying, “Do not go out with us to battle any more, lest you put out the lamp of Yisra’ĕl.”


“And now, O יהוה my Elohim, You have set up Your servant to reign instead of my father Dawiḏ. But I am a little child, I do not know how to go out or to come in.


The days of our lives are seventy years; Or if due to strength, eighty years, Yet the best of them is but toil and exertion; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.


Now Mosheh was eighty years old and Aharon eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.


But יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, “Because you did not believe Me, to set Me apart in the eyes of the children of Yisra’ĕl, therefore you do not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”


“who goes out before them and comes in before them, who leads them out and brings them in, so that the congregation of יהוה be not like sheep without a shepherd.


“And now see, I know that you all, among whom I went about proclaiming the reign of Elohim, shall see my face no more.


“And when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Yisra’ĕl.


“And יהוה was enraged with me for your sakes, saying, ‘You do not go in there, either.


And Mosheh went and spoke these words to all Yisra’ĕl,


And Mosheh was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his freshness gone.
