Daniel 6:10 - The Scriptures 2009

10 And Dani’ĕl, when he knew that the writing was signed, went home and in his upper room with his windows open toward Yerushalayim he knelt down on his knees three times a day, and prayed and gave thanks before his Elah, as he had done before.

And I said, “Should a man like me flee? And who is there like me who would go into the Hĕḵal to save his life? I do not go in!”


Aleph I bless יהוה at all times; His praise is continually in my mouth.


But I, I enter Your house In the greatness of Your loving-commitment; I bow myself toward Your set-apart Hĕḵal in Your fear.


Evening and morning and at noon I complain and moan, And He hears my voice.


Show favour to me, O יהוה, For I cry to You all day long.


Come, let us bow down and bend low, Let us kneel before יהוה our Maker.


Then they answered and said before the sovereign, “Dani’ĕl, who is one of the sons of the exile from Yehuḏah, pays no heed to you, O sovereign, nor for the interdict that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.”


And I prayed to יהוה my Elohim, and made confession, and said, “O יהוה, great and awesome Ěl, guarding the covenant and the loving-commitment to those who love Him, and to those who guard His commands.


“So I said, ‘I have been driven away from Your eyes. Would I ever look again toward Your set-apart Hĕḵal?’


And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Get up to the middle.”


If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and his own life too, he is unable to be My taught one.


And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and falling on His knees He was praying,


And on the next day, as they were on their way and approaching the city, Kĕpha went up on the house-top to pray, about the sixth hour.


“For these men are not drunk, as you imagine, since it is only the third hour of the day.


“But I do not count my life of any value to me, so that I might accomplish my mission with joy, and the service which I received from the Master יהושע, to bear witness to the Good News of the favour of Elohim.


And having said this, he knelt down and prayed with them all.


And when it came to be that our days there were ended, we left and went on, all of them accompanying us, with wives and children, till we were out of the city. And kneeling down on the beach, we prayed.


And Kĕpha and Yoḥanan were going up to the Set-apart Place at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.


“And now, יהוה, look on their threats, and give to Your servants all boldness to speak Your word,


Go and stand in the Set-apart Place and speak to the people all the words of this life.


And Kĕpha and the other emissaries answering, said, “We have to obey Elohim rather than men.


And kneeling down he cried out with a loud voice, “Master, do not hold this sin against them.” And having said this, he fell asleep.


But Kĕpha sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Taḇitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and seeing Kĕpha, she sat up.


For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Master יהושע Messiah,


and most of the brothers, trusting in the Master because of my chains, are much more bold to fearlessly speak the word.


according to my intense longing and anticipation that I shall not be ashamed at all, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Messiah shall be made great in my body, whether by life or by death.


Do not worry at all, but in every matter, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Elohim.


And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Master יהושע, giving thanks to Elohim the Father through Him.


Through Him then, let us continually offer up a slaughter offering of praise to Elohim, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His Name.


Therefore, let us come boldly to the throne of favour, in order to receive compassion, and find favour for timely help.


“Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. See, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, in order to try you, and you shall have pressure ten days. Be trustworthy until death, and I shall give you the crown of life.


“I know your works, and where you dwell, where the throne of Satan is. And you hold fast to My Name, and did not deny the belief in Me, even in the days in which Antipas was My trustworthy witness, who was killed near you, where Satan dwells.
