6 Both trembling, and being astonished, he said, “Master, what do You wish me to do?” And the Master said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you shall be told what you have to do.”

“I have seen his ways, but now I heal him, and I lead him, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners,


“And all these My hand has made, and all these that exist,” declares יהוה. “Yet to such a one I look: on him who is poor and bruised of spirit, and who trembles at My Word.


And He said to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, so that I speak to you.”


And the hand of יהוה came upon me there, and He said to me, “Arise, go out into the plain, so that I might speak to you there.”


I heard, and my body trembled, My lips quivered at the sound, Rottenness came into my bones. And I trembled within myself, That I might rest for the day of distress, To come upon the people who would attack us.


“But many who are first shall be last, and the last first.


And the crowds asked him, saying, “What, then, shall we do?”


And they said, “Cornelius the captain, a righteous man and one who fears Elohim and well spoken of by the entire nation of the Yehuḏim, was instructed by a set-apart messenger to send for you to his house, and to hear words from you.”


Now send to Yapho and call Shim‛on here, who is also called Kĕpha. He is staying in the house of Shim‛on, a leather-tanner, by the sea. When he comes, he shall speak to you.’


“He is staying with Shim‛on, a leather-tanner, whose house is by the sea.”


And having heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Kĕpha and the rest of the emissaries, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?”


“And I said, ‘What shall I do, Master?’ And the Master said to me, ‘Rise up, go into Dammeseq, and there you shall be told all that you have been appointed to do.’


But rise up, and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you a servant and a witness both of what you saw and of those which I shall reveal to you,


And he said, “Who are You, Master?” And the Master said, “I am יהושע, whom you persecute. It is hard for you to kick against the prods.”


And Yeshayahu boldly says, “I was found by those not seeking Me, I was made manifest to those not asking for Me.”


For not knowing the righteousness of Elohim, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of Elohim.


And the Torah came in beside, so that the trespass would increase. But where sin increased, favour increased still more,


And I was alive apart from the Torah once, but when the command came, the sin revived, and I died.


So that, my beloved, as you always obeyed – not only in my presence, but now much rather in my absence – work out your own deliverance with fear and trembling,


But He gives greater favour. Because of this He says, “Elohim resists the proud, but gives favour to the humble.”


“And you shall invite Yishai to the slaughtering, then let Me show you what to do. And you shall anoint for Me the one I say to you.”


And when Sha’ul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.
