Therefore thus said יהוה of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, “See, I am making this people eat wormwood, and I shall make them drink poisoned water.


Remember my affliction and my anguish, The wormwood and the gall.


He has piled up against me, And surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.


יהושע answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone doing sin is a servant of sin.


Let all bitterness, and wrath, and displeasure, and uproar, and slander be put away from you, along with all evil.


For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, led astray, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in evil and envy, being hated and hating one another.


See to it that no one falls short of the favour of Elohim, that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, by which many become defiled,


promising them freedom, though themselves being slaves of corruption – for one is a slave to whatever overcomes him.


For if Elohim did not spare the messengers who sinned, but sent them to Tartaros, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be kept for judgment,
