15 But if it is a question of words and names and a law which is among you, see to it yourselves, for I do not wish to be a judge of these matters.”

Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” The Yehuḏim said to him, “It is not right for us to put anyone to death,”


saying, “This one does seduce men to worship Elohim contrary to the Torah.”


I found out that he was accused concerning questions of their Torah, but there was no charge against him deserving death or chains.


For if indeed I do wrong, or have committed whatever deserving death, I do not refuse to die. But if there is none at all in these matters of which these men accuse me, no one is able to give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar.”


but had some questions against him about their own worship and about a certain יהושע, who had died, whom Sha’ul was claiming to be alive.


you being most of all an expert, knowing of all practices and questions which have to do with the Yehuḏim. So, please hear me patiently.


nor to pay attention to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than an administration of Elohim which is in belief.


he is puffed up, understanding none at all, but is sick about questionings and verbal battles from which come envy, strife, slander, wicked suspicions,


But refuse foolish and stupid questions, knowing that they breed quarrels.


But keep away from foolish questions, and genealogies, and strife and quarrels about the Torah, for they are unprofitable and useless.
