2 Samuel 6:12 - The Scriptures 2009

12 And it was reported to Sovereign Dawiḏ, saying, “יהוה has blessed the house of Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom and all that he has, because of the ark of Elohim.” Dawiḏ then went and brought up the ark of Elohim from the house of Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom to the City of Dawiḏ with rejoicing.

But Dawiḏ captured the stronghold of Tsiyon, the City of Dawiḏ.


Then Shelomoh assembled the elders of Yisra’ĕl and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Yisra’ĕl, to Sovereign Shelomoh in Yerushalayim, to bring up the ark of the covenant of יהוה from the City of Dawiḏ, which is Tsiyon.


And all the elders of Yisra’ĕl came, and the priests took up the ark,


and brought up the ark of יהוה, and the Tent of Appointment, and all the set-apart utensils that were in the Tent. And the priests and the Lĕwites brought them up,


And the children of the Lĕwites bore the ark of Elohim on their shoulders, by its poles, as Mosheh had commanded according to the word of יהוה.


And it was Dawiḏ and the elders of Yisra’ĕl, and the commanders over thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of יהוה from the house of Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom with joy.

“And whoever gives one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a taught one, truly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
