Better is a dry piece of bread and rest with it, Than a house filled with slaughters of strife.


The beginning of strife is like releasing water; Therefore stop fighting before it breaks out.


Better is a hand filled with rest than both hands filled with toil and feeding on wind.

And so I was ambitious to bring the Good News where Messiah had not been named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation,


and labour, working with our own hands. Being cursed, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer;


So we also make it our aim to be well-pleasing to Him, whether being at home, or being away from home.


Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labour, working with his hands what is good, so that he has somewhat to share with those in need.


for sovereigns and all those who are in authority, in order that we lead a calm and peaceable life in all reverence and seriousness.


Moreover, they learn to be idle, going about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, speaking what is improper.


And our brothers should also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, so that they shall not be without fruit.


but the hidden man of the heart, with the incorruptible ornament of a meek and peaceable spirit, which is of great value before Elohim.


For do not let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or doer of evil, or as a meddler.
