Now as Solomon finished offering all this prayer and supplication to the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, where he had knelt with hands outstretched toward heaven;


The whole assembly worshiped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded; all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.


When the offering was finished, the king and all who were present with him bowed themselves and worshiped.


And Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises to the Lord with the words of David and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed down and worshiped.


Solomon had made a bronze platform five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the court; and he stood upon it. Then he knelt upon his knees in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven;


And at the evening sacrifice I rose from my fasting, with my garments and my mantle rent, and fell upon my knees and spread out my hands to the Lord my God,


But none says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night,


Know that the Lord is God! It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.


Thy hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn thy commandments.


For thou didst form my inward parts, thou didst knit me together in my mother's womb.


Let Israel be glad in his Maker, let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King!


May his foes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust!


O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!


you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,


Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw nigh, when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;


In that day men will regard their Maker, and their eyes will look to the Holy One of Israel;


Thus says the Lord who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.


For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.

When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem; and he got down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.


“Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn, that he may heal us; he has stricken, and he will bind us up.

all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.


And when he had spoken thus, he knelt down and prayed with them all.


And when our days there were ended, we departed and went on our journey; and they all, with wives and children, brought us on our way till we were outside the city; and kneeling down on the beach we prayed and bade one another farewell.


And he knelt down and cried with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.


you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.


For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,


that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,


Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will do right and entrust their souls to a faithful Creator.
