In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.


And God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,


So they made their father drink wine that night also; and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.


The Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did to Sarah as he had promised.


“But will God dwell indeed with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!

But let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself!


For all the gods of the peoples are idols; but the Lord made the heavens.


And the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord had visited the people of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, they bowed their heads and worshiped.


All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness.

and dash you to the ground, you and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another in you; because you did not know the time of your visitation.”


Maintain good conduct among the Gentiles, so that in case they speak against you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
