They band together against the life of the righteous, and condemn the innocent to death.

O you who turn justice to wormwood, and cast down righteousness to the earth!


Do horses run upon rocks? Does one plow the sea with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—


And to one who does not work but trusts him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness.


“If there is a dispute between men, and they come into court, and the judges decide between them, acquitting the innocent and condemning the guilty,


You have condemned, you have killed the righteous man; he does not resist you.
