He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever; his horn is exalted in honor.


A wicked man earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.


The desire of the righteous ends only in good; the expectation of the wicked in wrath.


A liberal man will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.


One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.


He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.


He who gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse.


He who augments his wealth by interest and increase gathers it for him who is kind to the poor.


In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.


You have sown much, and harvested little; you eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes.


Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How are we robbing thee?’ In your tithes and offerings.


give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”


You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him; because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.
