2 “This is the statute of the law which the Lord has commanded: Tell the people of Israel to bring you a red heifer without defect, in which there is no blemish, and upon which a yoke has never come.

And Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who had gone to battle: “This is the statute of the law which the Lord has commanded Moses:


And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.


and the elders of the city which is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer which has never been worked and which has not pulled in the yoke.


For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, blameless, unstained, separated from sinners, exalted above the heavens.
