25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with God.


There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, one who feared God, and turned away from evil.


And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?”

So I always take pains to have a clear conscience toward God and toward men.


“The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brethren—him you shall heed—


because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
