He who oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him.


By loyalty and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord a man avoids evil.

“You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.


You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.


“You shall rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.


And if you sell to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.


Take no interest from him or increase, but fear your God; that your brother may live beside you.


You shall not rule over him with harshness, but shall fear your God.


“Then I will draw near to you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow and the orphan, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.


But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear him!


a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms liberally to the people, and prayed constantly to God.


but in every nation any one who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.


So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was built up; and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit it was multiplied.


That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast only through faith. So do not become proud, but stand in awe.


“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”


how he attacked you on the way, when you were faint and weary, and cut off at your rear all who lagged behind you; and he did not fear God.

Only fear the Lord, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
