So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord, and afflicted Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.


saying, “If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon you which I put upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord, your healer.”


And it shall become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and become boils breaking out in sores on man and beast throughout all the land of Egypt.”


Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a cake of figs, and apply it to the boil, that he may recover.”


and the priest shall examine him, and if the disease has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce the diseased person clean; he is clean.


and in the place of the boil there comes a white swelling or a reddish-white spot, then it shall be shown to the priest;


the priest shall examine it, and if the hair in the spot has turned white and it appears deeper than the skin, then it is leprosy; it has broken out in the burn, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a leprous disease.
