28 You heard me say to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.

Jesus said to her, “Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”


Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”


This was why the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.


Jesus then said, “I shall be with you a little longer, and then I go to him who sent me;


But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.


Without having seen him you love him; though you do not now see him you believe in him and rejoice with unutterable and exalted joy.


saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to La-odicea.”
