Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”


And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”


Then they loaded their asses with their grain, and departed.


The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every bird of the air, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea; into your hand they are delivered.


Can you bind him in the furrow with ropes, or will he harrow the valleys after you?


Do you have faith in him that he will return, and bring your grain to your threshing floor?


may our cattle be heavy with young, suffering no mischance or failure in bearing; may there be no cry of distress in our streets!


His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man;


Some boast of chariots, and some of horses; but we boast of the name of the Lord our God.


Where there are no oxen, there is no grain; but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.


but you said, “No! We will speed upon horses,” therefore you shall speed away; and, “We will ride upon swift steeds,” therefore your pursuers shall be swift.


An oracle on the beasts of the Negeb. Through a land of trouble and anguish, from where come the lioness and the lion, the viper and the flying serpent, they carry their riches on the backs of asses, and their treasures on the humps of camels, to a people that cannot profit them.


Bel bows down, Nebo stoops, their idols are on beasts and cattle; these things you carry are loaded as burdens on weary beasts.
