“Return, O faithless sons, I will heal your faithlessness.” “Behold, we come to thee; for thou art the Lord our God.


And I thought, ‘After she has done all this she will return to me’; but she did not return, and her false sister Judah saw it.


She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one, Israel, I had sent her away with a decree of divorce; yet her false sister Judah did not fear, but she too went and played the harlot.


Yet you were not content to walk in their ways, or do according to their abominations; within a very little time you were more corrupt than they in all your ways.


“Her sister Oholibah saw this, yet she was more corrupt than she in her doting and in her harlotry, which was worse than that of her sister.


My people are bent on turning away from me; so they are appointed to the yoke, and none shall remove it.


Like a stubborn heifer, Israel is stubborn; can the Lord now feed them like a lamb in a broad pasture?
