And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.


They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,


Thus the Lord saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore.


Then he took the book of the covenant, and read it in the hearing of the people; and they said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.”


Then the Lord said, “I have seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; I know their sufferings,


and I will take you for my people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.


“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”


It will be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; when they cry to the Lord because of oppressors he will send them a savior, and will defend and deliver them.


What do you mean by crushing my people, by grinding the face of the poor?” says the Lord God of hosts.


But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, my friend;


I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.


For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you.


“Listen to me, my people, and give ear to me, my nation; for a law will go forth from me, and my justice for a light to the peoples.


Whom did you dread and fear, so that you lied, and did not remember me, did not give me a thought? Have I not held my peace, even for a long time, and so you do not fear me?


You shall suck the milk of nations, you shall suck the breast of kings; and you shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.


Yet, O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou art our potter; we are all the work of thy hand.


Be not exceedingly angry, O Lord, and remember not iniquity for ever. Behold, consider, we are all thy people.


O thou hope of Israel, its savior in time of trouble, why shouldst thou be like a stranger in the land, like a wayfarer who turns aside to tarry for a night?


I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt; you know no God but me, and besides me there is no saviour.


I said, ‘Surely she will fear me, she will accept correction; she will not lose sight of all that I have enjoined upon her.’ But all the more they were eager to make all their deeds corrupt.”


Jesus saw Nathana-el coming to him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!”


As regards the gospel they are enemies of God, for your sake; but as regards election they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers.


Therefore, putting away falsehood, let every one speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.


They have dealt corruptly with him, they are no longer his children because of their blemish; they are a perverse and crooked generation.


Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph! Your enemies shall come fawning to you; and you shall tread upon their high places.”


Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices


And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world.


to the only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and for ever. Amen.


For the Lord will not cast away his people, for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.
