And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name; make known his deeds among the nations, proclaim that his name is exalted.


I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the pride of the arrogant, and lay low the haughtiness of the ruthless.


But you are brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the Pit.


And the haughtiness of man shall be humbled, and the pride of men shall be brought low; and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.


The Lord of hosts has purposed it, to defile the pride of all glory, to dishonor all the honored of the earth.


On that day the Lord will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth.


It will be said on that day, “Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”


In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city; he sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks.


In that day the Lord of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people;


In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.


Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.


And he will give rain for the seed with which you sow the ground, and grain, the produce of the ground, which will be rich and plenteous. In that day your cattle will graze in large pastures;


“ ‘Whom have you mocked and reviled? Against whom have you raised your voice and haughtily lifted your eyes? Against the Holy One of Israel!


And seven women shall take hold of one man in that day, saying, “We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes, only let us be called by your name; take away our reproach.”


who brings princes to naught, and makes the rulers of the earth as nothing.


Therefore my people shall know my name; therefore in that day they shall know that it is I who speak; here am I.”

At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored him who lives for ever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation;


“And in that day, says the Lord, you will call me, ‘My husband,’ and no longer will you call me, ‘My Baal.’


And I will make for you a covenant on that day with the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the creeping things of the ground; and I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land; and I will make you lie down in safety.


“And in that day, says the Lord, I will answer the heavens and they shall answer the earth;


“And in that day the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the stream beds of Judah shall flow with water; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the Lord and water the valley of Shittim.


“In that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen and repair its breaches, and raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old;


Will I not on that day, says the Lord, destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of Mount Esau?


Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, against this family I am devising evil, from which you cannot remove your necks; and you shall not walk haughtily, for it will be an evil time.


In that day, says the Lord, I will assemble the lame and gather those who have been driven away, and those whom I have afflicted;


And in that day, says the Lord, I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots;


“On that day you shall not be put to shame because of the deeds by which you have rebelled against me; for then I will remove from your midst your proudly exultant ones, and you shall no longer be haughty in my holy mountain.


On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: “Do not fear, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak.


On that day the Lord their God will save them for they are the flock of his people; for like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on his land.


“For behold, the day comes, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.


I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”


“Let him who boasts, boast of the Lord.”


We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle to the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,


when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at in all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.


Likewise you that are younger be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
