But one day, when he went into the house to do his work and none of the men of the house was there in the house,


But he refused and said to his master's wife, “Lo, having me my master has no concern about anything in the house, and he has put everything that he has in my hand;


he is not greater in this house than I am; nor has he kept back anything from me except yourself, because you are his wife; how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”


my son, do not walk in the way with them, hold back your foot from their paths;


You will be saved from the loose woman, from the adventuress with her smooth words,


The mouth of a loose woman is a deep pit; he with whom the Lord is angry will fall into it.


For a harlot is a deep pit; an adventuress is a narrow well.


She lies in wait like a robber and increases the faithless among men.


For the lips of a loose woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil;


Keep your way far from her, and do not go near the door of her house;


She seizes him and kisses him, and with impudent face she says to him:


to preserve you from the loose woman, from the adventuress with her smooth words.


She sits at the door of her house, she takes a seat on the high places of the town,


“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” And to him who is without sense she says,


Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”


Shun immorality. Every other sin which a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body.


So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, rule their households, and give the enemy no occasion to revile us.


So shun youthful passions and aim at righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call upon the Lord from a pure heart.


Beloved, I beseech you as aliens and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh that wage war against your soul.
