And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, maker of heaven and earth;


But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have sworn to the Lord God Most High, maker of heaven and earth,


now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my offspring or with my posterity, but as I have dealt loyally with you, you will deal with me and with the land where you have sojourned.”


The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from the land of my birth, and who spoke to me and swore to me, ‘To your descendants I will give this land,’ he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.
