14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuses to let the people go.

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go.

Still Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them; as the Lord had said.


Go to Pharaoh in the morning, as he is going out to the water; wait for him by the river's brink, and take in your hand the rod which was turned into a serpent.


The frogs shall depart from you and your houses and your servants and your people; they shall be left only in the Nile.”


But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and would not listen to them; as the Lord had said.


But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your country with frogs;


For if you refuse to let them go and still hold them,


But when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunder had ceased, he sinned yet again, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.


And Pharaoh sent, and behold, not one of the cattle of the Israelites was dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

Why then has this people turned away in perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit, they refuse to return.


Heaping oppression upon oppression, and deceit upon deceit, they refuse to know me, says the Lord.


They made their hearts like adamant lest they should hear the law and the words which the Lord of hosts had sent by his Spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from the Lord of hosts.


But Sihon the king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him; for the Lord your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, that he might give him into your hand, as at this day.


See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven.


Why should you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? After he had made sport of them, did not they let the people go, and they departed?
