And Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the priests of the Lord.


When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.


David knew that Saul was plotting evil against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod here.”


And David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David.


A man of Benjamin ran from the battle line, and came to Shiloh the same day, with his clothes rent and with earth upon his head.
