And the Lord hearkened to the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.


And when the king of Israel read the letter, he rent his clothes and said, “Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? Only consider, and see how he is seeking a quarrel with me.”


For he wounds, but he binds up; he smites, but his hands heal.


The snares of death encompassed me; the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me; I suffered distress and anguish.


Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.

And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, thou knowest.”


For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so will the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
