12 If others share this rightful claim upon you, do not we still more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

and they all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it.


Woe to you lawyers! for you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.”


and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them, and they worked, for by trade they were tentmakers.


This is the reason why I have so often been hindered from coming to you.


Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.


To have lawsuits at all with one another is defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?


In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.


But I have made no use of any of these rights, nor am I writing this to secure any such provision. For I would rather die than have any one deprive me of my ground for boasting.


For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!


What then is my reward? Just this: that in my preaching I may make the gospel free of charge, not making full use of my right in the gospel.


If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.


And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do.


For you bear it if a man makes slaves of you, or preys upon you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, or strikes you in the face.


When I came to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ, a door was opened for me in the Lord;


We put no obstacle in any one's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,
