1 Corinthians 15:50 - Revised Standard Version

50 I tell you this, brethren: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

Then the King will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;


to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;


What I mean is that each one of you says, “I belong to Paul,” or “I belong to Apollos,” or “I belong to Cephas,” or “I belong to Christ.”


So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.


It is sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.


nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.


“Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.


Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts,


I mean, brethren, the appointed time has grown very short; from now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none,


For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.


The point is this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.


This is what I mean: the law, which came four hundred and thirty years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to make the promise void.


But I say, walk by the Spirit, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.


Now this I affirm and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds;


I say this in order that no one may delude you with beguiling speech.


The Lord will rescue me from every evil and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
