Now when these things were done, the word of the Lord came to Abram by a vision, saying: Fear not, Abram, I am thy protector, and thy reward exceeding great.


And I will establish my covenant between me and thee, and between thy seed after thee in their generations, by a perpetual covenant: to be a God to thee, and to thy seed after thee.


And I will give to thee, and to thy seed, the land of thy sojournment, all the land of Chanaan for a perpetual possession: and I will be their God.


And God heard the voice of the boy. And an angel of God called to Agar from heaven, saying: What art thou doing, Agar? Fear not: for God hath heard the voice of the boy, from the place wherein he is.


I will bless thee, and I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that is by the seashore. Thy seed shall possess the gates of their enemies.


Abraham returned to his young men, and they went to Bersabee together. And he dwelt there.


O Lord the God of my master Abraham, meet me to-day, I beseech thee, and shew kindness to my master Abraham.


And the Lord, leaning upon the ladder, saying to him: I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac. The land, wherein thou sleepest, I will give to thee and to thy seed.


And I will be thy keeper whithersoever thou goest, and will bring thee back into this land: neither will I leave thee, till I shall have accomplished all that I have said.

And Israel taking his journey, with all that he had, came to the well of the oath, and killing victims there to the God of his father Isaac,


And Elias said to her: Fear not, but go, and do as thou hast said. But first make for me of the same meal a little hearth-cake, and bring it to me; and after make for thyself and thy son.


And Moses said to the people: Fear not. Stand and see the great wonders of the Lord, which he will do this day: for the Egyptians, whom you see now, you shall see no more for ever.


And he said: I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Moses hid his face: for he durst not look at God.


Behold, God is my saviour: I will deal confidently, and will not fear, because the Lord is my strength and my praise, and he is become my salvation.


Fear not, for I am with thee: turn not aside, for I am thy God. I have strengthened thee and have helped thee: and the right hand of my just one hath upheld thee.


Thus saith the Lord that made and formed thee, thy helper from the womb: Fear not, O my servant Jacob, and thou most righteous whom I have chosen.


I, I myself, will comfort you. Who art thou, that thou shouldst be afraid of a mortal man and of the son of man who shall wither away like grass?


Hearken to me, you that know what is just, my people who have my law in your heart: fear ye not the reproach of men and be not afraid of their blasphemies.


Coph. Thou drewest near in the day when I called upon thee. Thou saidst: Fear not.


And I will remember my covenant, that I made with Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham. I will remember also the land:


And I will remember my former covenant, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, in the sight of the Gentiles, to be their God. I am the Lord. These are the judgments, and precepts, and laws, which the Lord gave between him and the children of Israel, in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.


I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.


Fear not, little flock, for it hath pleased your Father to give you a kingdom.


I am the God of thy fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses being terrified, durst not behold.


And there shall nothing of that anathema stick to thy hand: that the Lord may turn from the wrath of his fury, and may have mercy on thee, and multiply thee as he swore to thy fathers:


Do manfully and be of good heart: fear not, nor be ye dismayed at their sight. For the Lord thy God he himself is thy leader, and will not leave thee nor forsake thee.


But now they desire a better, that is to say, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for he hath prepared for them a city.


So that we may confidently say: The Lord is my helper: I will not fear what man shall do to me.


And when I had seen him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying: Fear not. I am the First and the Last,


Fear not therefore, but whatsoever thou shalt say to me I will do to thee. For all the people that dwell within the gates of my city know that thou art a virtuous woman.
