And Micheas said: If thou return in peace, the Lord hath not spoken by me. And he said: Hear, all ye people.


Therefore, ye men of understanding, hear me: far from God be wickedness, and iniquity from the Almighty.


Who accepteth not the persons of princes: nor hath regarded the tyrant, when he contended against the poor man: for all are the work of his hands.

The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise again, the poor have the gospel preached to them.


Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.


Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.


And calling again the multitude unto him, he said to them: Hear ye me all and understand.


So is he that layeth up treasure for himself and is not rich towards God.


Fear not, little flock, for it hath pleased your Father to give you a kingdom.


And it came to pass that the beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom. And the rich man also died: and he was buried in hell.


And Abraham said to him: Son, remember that thou didst receive good things in thy lifetime, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted and thou art tormented.


And I dispose to you, as my Father hath disposed to me, a kingdom;


And he, lifting up his eyes on his disciples, said: Blessed are ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.


Hath any one of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?


Who said: Ye men, brethren and fathers, hear. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charan.


And if sons, heirs also; heirs indeed of God and joint heirs with Christ: yet so, if we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him.


But, as it is written: That eye hath not seen, nor ear heard: neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him.


For all things are for your sakes: that the grace, abounding through many, may abound in thanksgiving unto the glory of God.


As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing: as needy, yet enriching many: as having nothing and possessing all things.


For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich he became poor for your sakes: that through his poverty you might be rich.


The eyes of your heart enlightened that you may know what the hope is of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.


To me, the least of all the saints, is given this grace, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ:


We testified to every one of you that you would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.


For an example of the just judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which also you suffer.


To do good, to be rich in good work, to give easily, to communicate to others,


The Lord hath delivered me from every evil work and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom. To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.


As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming. Make haste to come to me quickly.


Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasure of the Egyptians. For he looked unto the reward.


Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for, when he hath been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which God hath promised to them that love him.


Do not err, therefore, my dearest brethren.


You know, my dearest brethren. And let every man be swift to hear, but slow to speak and slow to anger.


But let the brother of low condition glory in his exaltation:


Unto an inheritance, incorruptible, and undefiled and that cannot fade, reserved in heaven for you,


For so an entrance shall be ministered to you abundantly into the ever-lasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.


I know thy tribulation and thy poverty: but thou art rich. And thou art blasphemed by them that say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.


He that shall overcome shall possess these things. And I will be his God: and he shall be my son.


I counsel thee to buy of me gold, fire tried, that thou mayest be made rich and mayest be clothed in white garments: and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear. And anoint thy eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.


This being told to Joatham, he went, and stood on the top of Mount Garizim: and lifting up his voice, he cried, and said: Hear me, ye men of Sichem, so may God hear you.


Wherefore thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should minister in my sight, for ever. But now saith the Lord: Far be this from me: but whosoever shall glorify me, him will I glorify: but they that despise me, shall be despised.


He raiseth up the needy from the dust, and lifteth up the poor from the dunghill: that he may sit with princes, and hold the throne of glory. For the poles of the earth are the Lord's, and upon them he hath set the world.
