They refused to listen and did not remember your wonders which you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt.  , But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love, and you did not abandon them.


How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? I have had a change of heart; my compassion is stirred!


‘That servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii.   , He grabbed him, started choking him, and said, “Pay what you owe! ”


Then, after he had summoned him, his master said to him, “You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.


Since they could not pay it back,   he graciously forgave them both. So, which of them will love him more? ’


Simon answered, ‘I suppose the one he forgave more.’ ‘You have judged correctly,’ he told him.


So they got rid of the foreign gods  among them and worshipped the Lord,  and he became weary  of Israel’s misery.
