1 As  soon as it was morning, having held a meeting with the elders,  scribes,  and the whole Sanhedrin, the chief priests  tied Jesus up, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate.

When daylight came,  the elders  of the people, both the chief priests and the scribes,  convened and brought him before their Sanhedrin.


The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors,  has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before Pilate,  though he had decided to release him.
