Leviticus 5:18 - Christian Standard Bible Anglicised

18 He must bring an unblemished ram from the flock according to your assessment of its value as a guilt offering to the priest. Then the priest will make atonement on his behalf for the error he has committed unintentionally, and he will be forgiven.

‘If his offering is a burnt offering  from the herd, he is to bring an unblemished male.  He will bring it to the entrance to the tent of meeting so that he  may be accepted by the Lord.


He is to lay his hand on  the head of the burnt offering so it can be accepted  on his behalf to make atonement for him.


The priest is to take one male lamb and present it as a guilt offering,  along with the one-third of a litre of olive oil, and he will present them as a presentation offering  before the Lord.


He is to offer this bull just as he did with the bull in the sin offering; he will offer it the same way. So the priest will make atonement  on their behalf, and they will be forgiven.


‘If someone sins and without knowing it violates any of the Lord’s commands concerning anything prohibited, he is guilty, and he will bear his iniquity.


It is a guilt offering; he is indeed guilty before the Lord.’


and if it was done unintentionally without the community’s awareness, the entire community is to prepare one young bull for a burnt offering as a pleasing aroma to the Lord, with its grain offering and drink offering according to the regulation, and one male goat as a sin offering.
