Therefore, this is what the Lord says: If you return, I will take you back; you will stand in my presence. And if you speak noble words, rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. It is they who must return to you; you must not return to them.


Her priests do violence to my instruction and profane my holy things.  They make no distinction between the holy and the common, and they do not explain the difference between the clean and the unclean.  They close their eyes to my Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.


They are to teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and explain to them the difference between the clean and the unclean.


in order to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between the animals  that may be eaten and those that may not be eaten.’


The priest is to examine him, and if the swelling of the condition on his bald head or forehead is reddish-white, like the appearance of a serious skin disease on his body,


to determine when something is unclean or clean. This is the law regarding skin disease and mildew.’


To the pure, everything is pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; in fact, both their mind and conscience  are defiled.
