They float  on the surface of the water. Their section of the land is cursed, so that they never go to their vineyards.


Like wild donkeys in the wilderness, the poor go out to their task of foraging for food; the desert provides nourishment for their children.


Without clothing, they spend the night naked, having no covering against the cold.


if I have consumed its produce without payment or shown contempt for its tenants,


You will sow but not reap; you will press olives but not anoint yourself with oil; and you will tread grapes but not drink the wine.


A people you don’t know will eat your land’s produce and everything you have laboured for. You will only be oppressed and crushed continually.


They will eat the offspring of your livestock and your land’s produce until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine, fresh oil, young of your herds, or newborn of your flocks until they cause you to perish.
